Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement

1. I, in consideration for myself ____________________________, hereby release, waive and discharge all people involved with or associated with Regal Adventures, LLC, Camp Winona (898 Camp Winona Road, De Leon Springs, FL 32130), Lakewood Retreat (25458 Dan Brown Hill RD, Brooksville, FL 34602, Camp Geneva (36540 Vía Marcia, Fruitland Park, FL 34731) or Rift Fallen LARP (hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES or EVENT RUNNERS), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by myself or to any property in the possession of myself, while participating in the EVENT RUNNERS events or functions, or while in, on, upon, or traveling to or from any program activity where EVENT RUNNERS events or functions are being conducted.

2. I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with allowing myself to participate in this activity, including the risk of physical injury or disability as the result of such injury, and I hereby allow myself to voluntarily participate in said activity. I voluntarily assume full responsibility of any risk of loss, property damage, or personal injury that may be sustained by myself, or any loss or damage to property in the possession of myself or stored in any space rented or owned by any Releasees, as a result of being engaged in such activity.

3. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs that may incur due to my participation in said activity.

4. It is my express intent that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse (if any), if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, if I am not alive, and shall be deemed a release, waiver, and discharge above named Releasees. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the state laws where the event or function is being held.

5. I understand the Releasees will not be held responsible for any medical costs associated with an injury that I, myself may sustain.

6. I further agree to become familiar with the rules and regulations for my conduct and agree that I will not violate said rules or any directive or instruction made by the persons in charge of said program and that I will further assume the complete risk of any activity done in violation of said rule, directive, or instruction including, but not limited to, a one-time short term or permanent dismissal from all Releasees property or related activities.

7. I also understand that I am urged to obtain adequate health and accident insurance to cover any personal injury to myself which may be sustained during the program or transportation to or from said program and activities.

8. I agree to abide by the supervision of Appointed Safety Representatives (hereinafter referred to as Marshalls) and will follow their judgments regarding unsafe behavior and use of the EVENT RUNNERS property or equipment. I acknowledge that the Marshalls have full authority at the EVENT RUNNERS events and that they may prohibit me from participating in an event involving combat or game content if I ignore their warnings on my own behavior and actions. I understand that I have the authority to submit a complaint in writing, if I feel that any aspect of my health is unsafe during club events.

9. I understand that the production put on by the EVENT RUNNERS is a game intended for those adult individuals 18 years and older, and that any minors participating are always required to have a legal parent or guardian with them. Releasees assume no responsibility as to the exposure of a minor to adult game content and expects content to be filtered by the legal guardian for minor participants. Game content will NOT be changed due to any participant’s age.

10. I hereby grant the EVENT RUNNERS, their legal representatives, and assigns (including any agency, client, or publication), irrevocable permission to publish photographs of me taken at any EVENT RUNNERS event or function. These images may be published in any manner, including advertising, periodicals, greeting cards and calendars, whether in print, on social media or on the internet. Furthermore, I will hold harmless EVENT RUNNERS, their representatives, and assigns, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion or alteration that may occur in producing the finished product, unless it can be proven that such blurring, distortion, or alteration was done with malicious intent toward me. If I wish photos or videos of myself removed, I must inform event staff in writing. I affirm that I am more than 18 years of age and competent to sign this contract. I have read this release and fully understand its contents.

I acknowledge that I am at least eighteen (18) years old, or that my parent or legal guardian has read this waiver in its entirety and has agreed to its terms

IF PARTICIPANT IS UNDER 18, A PARENT/ LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST COMPLETE

I, ________________________________________________, am the parent or legal guardian for ______________________________,and have legal authority to execute this release on their behalf. I understand that I must always remain with my charge while in attendance of any of the EVENT RUNNERS events or functions, that I have read this contract and agree to all its terms in respect to my child/charge. My child has my express permission to participate in any EVENT RUNNERS events.
